ABOUT THE B AND B

The Huron River Guest House

A Different Bed and Breakfast

The Huron River Guest House sets on a 1+ acre secluded lot across the street from Huron Hills Golf Course. Located within the city limits, it is a 3,000 sq ft post modern home designed by Robert Metcalf, Dean of the University of Michigan’s College of Architecture from 1974-1986.

The furniture is a mix of Herman Miller and Knoll pieces. The art is an eclectic mix of traditional, modern and alternative. The living room ceiling was hand painted by local mural artist, Jil Gordon. www.jilgordon.com

The home was previously owned by the former Dean of U of M and Harvard’s Law Schools. Chris Brooks, the current resident and proprietor has lived here since 2001.

The Huron River Guest House is minutes away from downtown and even closer to U of M’s Campus as well as Michigan Medicine (formerly U of M Hospital, Mott, the Cardiovascular Center, Kellogg Eye Center and the Cancer Center) and St Joseph’s Hospital.

Whether travelling alone or with your small group your special needs will be addressed as a priority.
